Hello,
When trying to connect to DMC-4040, GalilTools can see its IP address (but model and serial number are not visible), then I'm getting:
1011 TIMEOUT ERROR. Galil::command("ID") took longer than 500 ms to read : response.
- (for GalilTools 1.4.0)
1011 TIMEOUT ERROR. Galil::command("MG_TM") took longer than 500 ms to read : response. Got 1000.0000 :
- (for GalilTools 1.6.4)
Connection with COM port works fine, but model and serial number are also not visible in the "Connections" table.
What's wrong?

Hello,
In situations like this there could be a problem with the response coming back from the controller. You will want to make sure that your controller is on the same subnet as the Ethernet Adapter on the PC. Then confirm that the windows firewall is not on, as it can sometimes block responses coming from the controller.
