GALIL Hello.

About a week ago I borrowed a RIO 47120 for evaluation. The RIO will serve me as a REMOT IO SERVER connected to a cloud based application.

All hardware issues are working excellent - as expected.

Although the implementation of the Excel – VB example works fine (can send commands and pull data from the controller) I could not do it any other modern Web server language such as Java, PHP, VB.NET or HTML (running on Virtual private Server, Windows 2008 / 2012 R2).

After a few days of countless attempts I feel stuck in my application development.

I would appreciate it if you can offer me any solution that will allow me to communicate with the RIO via the Internet .

Thanks in advance…
Eli.

Hi Eli,
My first question regarding your post is what aspect of your application requires communicating with the RIO over the Internet? We strongly recommend communicating with our controllers over closed local networks.

If this is something your application absolutely requires it may be possible however we would advise against it.

We include html, Jscript and VBscript examples on our API page here:
