Hi all
I have a few of these old style boards but can not connect to them in win.xp
I can see the board in device manager with error symbol
I see in the manual about setting the IRQ but I only have a few options in device manager settings, between irq3 and 15. It shows currently irq05. The manual only shows settings for addresses starting at irq 500 and odd up to around 1000. Set by using the jumpers.
Any help would be gratefully received.
Yours
John

Hello John,

It looks like your issue here is that you are mixing up the IRQ setting with the Address setting. The address, which can be configured from 512 to 1024, is not the IRQ setting. There are separate IRQ jumpers for setting the IRQ address.

The address you are referencing here is the "input/output" range, which is explained in the DMC-1700 user manual on page 20.

You should see on the bottom of the DMC-1700 there are a row of headers labeled IRQ5 through IRQ 15. Jumper one of those headers to set the IRQ in that range.
