GalilSuite - Can't start - server error

I am unable to open GalilSuite 1.04 on Ubuntu 14.04. Previously it was fine and I was using it to control a DMC2123. Then communication stopped and now when I try to run GalilSuite, I get the errors:

"Server Error: Unable to connect to server due to Server closed or resetted(-506) with info:"

and then, after clicking OK:

"galilsuite: Failed to connect to server. Please make sure Galil service is running."
