Hello, I have a DMC-4183 and I am trying to connect an external driver of a stepper motor using Step and Direction pins. My problem is that the stepper motor moves in one direction but not in the other. I think that the problem is in Direction Pin because the motor works when Direction is in 4.96V (5V) but when I turn the direction the voltage of Direction is 0.0V instead of 0.X V (X is any number)

I would like to try changing the sourcing/sinking mode of the Direction Pin, but I don't know how. Maybe this change could solve my problem.

Any help? Thank you.

... In addition, the external driver needs 15mA in its input signal. My card is DMC 4183 rev A. Is the output current limit equal to 4mA in Direction and Enable Pins?

Yes the problem is the unknown voltage for the stepper motor to turn it into other direction. You can find that voltage int he specifications of the stepper motor where they are listed?
Also i want to know which controller circuit you are using for the control of your stepper motor? Is it any board if yes then which board?
Please post some more details about your hardware here.
