As I understand, the stepper motor driver delivers a current to the motor it is connected to. The voltage, therefore, is determined by the current and the impedance of the motor winding. For a SDM-440x0, the bus voltage is in the range of 12-30 VDC, but how low can the voltage delivered to the motor go? I am looking at driving a Haydon Kerk 21H4AC-2.5-907 motor with 0.49 A/phase with a winding voltage of 2.5 V and an inductance of 1.5 mH. Is this possible with a 12V bus voltage and a -D4020 driver?
