Hello,
DMC newb here needing help. I am depositing material in an xyz axis machine and need to rewrite my design over the top to build height. For example, I draw an open box, think staple, and as it finishes last leg I use a clear bit to stop flow of material. At that point I'd like to raise the z height, return home (0,0) and start the program again over the top of the first. I've tried using PR and several other commands but have had varying results. Sometimes I can get the z to raise but then it sets the home position where it currently sits and begins writing from there. I just need it to stop, raise up, and return to home so I can start the second overwrite. Any help would be appreciated. Sorry I can't provide the code I have due to proprietary reasons and the fact that it's at another location at the moment and I'm not yet proficient enough in DMC to re type it all from memory.

Hi jv575,
If you use PA0,0 does it return home? If not, what does RP and TP report. Unless there was some error which would be reflected in stop code (SC), RP should report 0,0 and TP should be similar depending on your tuning. This might help the initial stages of troubleshooting.

If you need further assistance, please call in or email support@galil.com and ask for Andrew.
