Hello,

I've been asked to migrate some WinXP industrial PCs including two DMC-1040 controllers to Win7.

Could you just confirm that these (obsolete ISA) controllers have no chance to run under Win7 (GalilTools or GalilSuite) ?

Is there a table giving the OS and software tool compatibility for each model ?

Thanks.

Galil discontinued ISA software support after Windows XP.
Motherboard Bus-based Win7 Support is the following:
PCI:
DMC-18x6
DMC-18x2
DMC-18x0 (with some limitations)
DMC-1417 (with some limitations)

Just another question :

Could you precise what are the limitations for DMC-18x0 ?

Thanks.

Yes, the controller must have a "Xilinx"-based PCI interface, rather than the "PLX" chip. This is the chip directly above the PCI tab.

Also, newer firmware is required to use GalilTools, (rev R, April, 2009)
