Hi , we just bought a NSC-G Series Motion Controller with a x-y Linear Slide : ETL Long Travel Series. I'm new to this kind of programming and im unable to detect the limitswitches. How should i configure my limitswitches for them to be detected automatically? I know i should use CN command to configure them and the use FI to determine their position but im unable to do it. When i move motor just go the the end of the screw and doesn't stops.

Hello,

What controller do you have? I suspect that your controller is a newer Galil controller that features optoisoalted limits, homes and other inputs. Please review your wiring with respect to the diagrams in the user manual then make sure that the command MG_LFA and MG_LRA change state when you activate the limits. Note that the forward limit should become active when you trigger the limit at the positive end of travel.

Best,
