Hi,

Good day.
Is there a way to set the action of end limit to instant stop other than using #LIMSWI?
We have DMC-2163 and vc++ 2010 for programming.
From manual, setting the deceleration to max only works in jog mode when moving.

Thanks,
Bub

The DMC-2163 is a older generation product and does not have the SD (Switch Deceleration) command to do exactly what you are trying to do. However you can have the same effect by using the #LIMSWI routine. If you issue a ST command for that axis and then modify your DC value for that axis you will have change the deceleration rate.
Mechanical systems will not be able to follow an instant stop so it is recommended to set a deceleration rate that fits your mechanical system. There are ways to put the system into an instant stop. If you want to discuss this, give us a call.
