It seems that I and others have wanted a G code conversion package for the Galil cards. I don't like going to a third party for this as it adds another link in the chain. It would be much better to be able to have support from one source.

In the not-so-distant past, Galil actually did have a generic G-code translator which we supported. However, with the increasing number of machine-specific G code software, we realized that the job of translating these codes into dmc (Galil) code would best be served by a company dedicated to software. At Galil, our research and development team is devoted to motion controllers, designing new features to help our customers build machines to get the job done. We have decided not to focus on the software aspects of connecting our product to peripheral devices with varying communication protocols, although we do offer a handful of software programs.

It is our belief that Camsoft does an excellent job bridging the communication gap between G code and dmc code. They can be reached for information or questions at 909-674-8100.
