I have a DMC1030 and I need to know how to find out what the Encoder counts relationship is to say mm (mili meters) or cm or any kind of measurement numbers that are usefull. I have not found these numbers in the manual yet.

The relationship between encoder counts and real world measurements (ie. mm or inches) depends entirely on the mechanics of your system. You would need to calculate this value based on your encoder resolution, the pitch of any lead screws or the gear ratio in any reducers or belts. Another less accurate method would be to define the encoder position as zero (DP0), jog the motor at a very low speed and stop at a measured inch or mm mark. At that point re-check your TP for a rough idea of your system resolution.
