When my motors are moving they make a ticking sound. I am sure that my tuning isn't exactly right but I was wondering what PID value would most likely be the cause. Or if it could be something else entirely. Thanks

What type of motor do you have? What amplifier are you using? What controller are you using?

Clicking/ticking can be caused by a few different things. If you are using a brushless motor with a trap amp, it could indicate that your halls are not aligned properly.

It may be the tuning, but it is unlikely. It is more likely something related to the motor/amplifier interface, such as a halls misalignment.

I'm using the original motors and amps that where installed on the machine at factory. They're servo brush motors. I have DMC-1832 controller connected to ICM-2900, and I'm using Camsoft's CNC Plus software.

Start with tuning your motors, look at the profiled and actual output using the scope functionality in Camsoft (I believe there is one). If tuning doesn't help, it may be something with the profiled move from Camsoft. You should contact Camsoft on this issue.
