Starting up a new CNC refit with AMC amps, Galil 1900 and Galil 1860 card...

Something is preventing SH from turning on the X axis servo. Even with the connections to the servo amp unplugged. The limit switches aren't it. What other possibilities?

I'm using these commands:

CN 1,1 because NC limits
SH turn on servo
MG _MOX check state
MG _LFX
MG _LRX check limits

Thanks

Karl

What are the 3 responses from the MG commands?

1,1,1

I disable off on error and can get SH to turn on. But then a motor run away when I reconnect. I got something other than galil commands wrong. I'm giving it a day's rest and will try again tommorrow.

You have reverse polarity. If you have a differential encoder, swap MA+/MA-.

You can also change the MT polarity. Default is 1, change to -1.

It is recommended to change your wiring so that if you have to master reset the controller it will not power-up in a runaway state.
