It is likely you have a hardware problem or a wiring issue. Review chapters 2 and 3 in the DMC-18x6 manual to verify that your wiring is correct.

Once you have verified your wiring, you need to make sure that the Panasonic driver is configured correctly for your system. If you are using the Galil to close the PID loop, then make sure the Panasonic is configured to receive a +/-10V analog input in either torque or velocity mode. If you have decided to have the Panasonic close the servo loop and are just sending step and direction signals to the driver, make sure you have the controller set to stepper mode (MT 2, -2, 2.5 or -2.5) and the Panasonic is configured to receive pulse and direction signals.

If you cannot find the problem by reviewing the information in the manuals and verifying your drive configuration, you will need to contact Camsoft for proper documentation and further support for your system.

Once you have the amplifiers wired correctly and are able to get some movement out of your motors, then you will be ready to start tuning (assuming you are not using step and direction). A great place to start in understanding how to tune is our manual tuning application note.
