Galil offers controller configurations in 1- through 8-axis and lets you purchase just the exact number of axes that your project requires. If your application requires more than 8 axes, use more than one controller. For example, an 11-axis application can use an 8-axis and a 3-axis controller. If you need just 1-axis, the Econo line is your most cost-effective choice.
How do you want to communicate with your controller?
Galil offers card-level products that reside in a computer system. Bus formats include ISA, PCI, CompactPCI, and PC/104. For stand-alone applications or applications where the controller connects to the PC serially, controllers are available with RS232/422, Ethernet or USB communication links.
How much uncommitted I/O do you require?
In addition to forward and reverse limits and home inputs for each axis, Galil offers uncommitted digital inputs and outputs with each controller. The Optima series of multiaxis controllers includes 8 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs for 1- through 4-axis models and eight uncommitted analog inputs.The Econo series of single axis controllers provides 7 digital inputs and 3 digital outputs, and the Econo DMC-21x3 multi-axis controller includes 8 digital inputs and 8 outputs. I/O expansion options are available for each controller model.
