Hello All,
Ive connected the GALIL DMC4080 to power supply. The display shows : "PARM ERR". Can anyone suggest me to remove this error.

After powering up the GALIL DMC 4080, the error message on the display is:"PARAM ERR". Also Im unable to communicate the drive with neither Ethernet nor Serial Port. Please help me to remove this error. Thank You

Hi tejswrp,
The 'PARAM ERR' state can occur if the controller's memory was affected. This can happen if there is a communications interruption that happens during a program or parameter download. From what you have described you need need to master reset the controller. Keep in mind you will lose any data that is stored on the controller.
To master reset the controller, first power off the controller. Then place a jumper on the 'MR' or 'MRST' pins. Turn the controller back on. You should see the red light come on for a few seconds and then turn off. This should clear the controller's memory and enable you to communicate with the controller. If you continue to get the error please email me and I can help you directly.
